About
Red Birds are a three piece Alternative Folk band from Elkton, MD. Singer-songwriter & bassist, Zoë August is joined by her husband, Dan August on guitars, and long time friend, Sam Williamson on drums & occasional keys. The trio's varying influences meet somewhere between 90s Indie Rock and Appalachian Folk. While their working class tunes about loss, love, and coping put Red Birds firmly in the house that Patsy Cline and Hazel Dickens built, they also find comfort in the company of Elliot Smith, Ida, and Jason Molina. Following their 2023 full length "Tell Me Lies", Red Birds new full length "Things we thought we were done with" will be available April 25 on all platforms.
